1.The short version
PublishKaro uses only what it needs to work: two essential cookies and one local storage entry. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, social media pixels or any third-party tracking, and we do not build a profile of you from your browsing.
3.What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
Session cookie | Essential cookie | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random token that we check against our database; it contains no personal details. | Up to 30 days, or until you log out |
uk_device | Essential cookie | Remembers a device you have signed in on before, so we can protect your account against unusual sign-ins. It holds a signed code, not your email or password. | Up to 1 year |
uk-theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light, dark or automatic theme. It never leaves your browser. | Until you clear it |
Both cookies are HTTP-only (scripts on the page cannot read them), use the SameSite=Lax setting and are sent only over HTTPS in production.
4.Third-party sites
When you connect Google, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or YouTube, you sign in on that company’s own website, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those cookies. Our emails do not contain tracking pixels.
5.Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in. Clearing site data also resets your theme choice to automatic.
6.Changes
If we ever add a non-essential cookie, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. See also our Privacy Policy.
